McAfee’s Ace Jones returns to life ‘Happily ever Madder’

‘Shut Up and Play the Hits’
OXFORD TOWN – The late Adam Yauch’s (pictured here) distribution company, Oscilloscope Laboratories, will have a one-night only screening nationwide of “Shut Up and Play the Hits,” on Wednesday, July 18, with the Lyric Theater set as one of the screening locations. Faulkner’s popularity extends beyond books
COMPLETE STORY — Fifty years after the death of Williams Faulkner, the Oxford writer’s work continues to be popularity. The Modern Library is reissuing six of his books this year and Hollywood is showing renewed interest in transferring his work from the page to the screen.
Local film production plans fall apart
Filmmakers for the movie “Admissions” have turned down a grant to film in Oxford. A story in the New York Times recently lists the movie, starring Andy Garcia and Meg Ryan, as filming in Connecticut. (April 27, 2012, Page 1A)
