Cary Hudson teams with Yalobushwhackers on TMR

Yale historian examines Civil War and civil rights at Nutt Auditorium

OXFORD TOWN – Yale historian David Blight will visit Ole Miss on Nov. 16 to share his insights on Civil War remembrance and discuss his latest book, “American Oracle: The Civil War in the Civil Rights Era” in Nutt Auditorium. Thacker Mountain Radio hits the road … sort of

OXFORD TOWN – In a fundraising effort for its 2012 season, Thacker Mountain Radio organizers have planned an outdoor version of the broadcast this week (Thursday, Oct. 27) on the courthouse lawn featuring poet Kevin Young, musician/singer/songwriter Eleanor Friedberger (pictured here), author Randy Fertel, musicians James Justin (Burke) and Co., and saxophonist Eric Lipe. Shannon McNally anchors The Yalobushwhackers tonight on TMR

OXFORD TOWN – Thacker Mountain Radio returns to Off Square Books tonight (Oct. 6) at 6 to welcome Oxford’s newest writer (Josh Weil) as well as two young bands, one playing tunes from the past (The Side Street Steppers), the other, playing music from the now (Dead Gaze).
