Rebels hold on for 4-1 victory at Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. — On the heels of being named Baseball America‘s Midseason Player of the Year, Ole Miss ace Drew Pomeranz didn’t disappoint.

The junior left-hander pitched yet another masterful game, leading Ole Miss to a 4-1 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs at Foley Field tonight.

Trojans rally to defeat No. 17 Rebels

The Ole Miss Rebels were hoping Wednesday’s game against the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans would allow them to get back on track after dropping two of three to Tennessee at home last weekend.

Instead, the Trojans were able to capitalize on several mistakes from freshman second baseman Alex Yarbrough and the Ole Miss relief pitchers to overcome an early 4-1 deficit and defeat the No. 17 Rebels 9-6 at Oxford-University Stadium. (April 8, 2010, Page 6)
