Burial will follow in Springfield M.B. Church Cemetery in Abbeville. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home Chapel.

Lafayette senior basketball player Shaq Isom has been nominated as one of 2,000 finalists nationwide for the prestegious McDonald’s All-American team.The final rosters of 24 boys and 24 girls will be announced during a selection show on ESPNU on Feb. 10, with the annual game being played on March 30.
