MathCounts Team competes
The Oxford Middle School Mathcounts team competed recently in the regional competition held at the University of Mississippi. They participated as a team and as individuals. The team won first place for the northeast region against teams from Tupelo, Corinth and Nettleton. The team will travel to Hinds Community College in Pearl on March 27 to compete in the state competition. (March 16, 2010, Page 4B)
Lafayette High JROTC competes
After advancing through two phases of competition, Lafayette High School’s AFJROTC academic team composed of Tyler Sparks, Arnissa Tyson, Victoria Miller, Janet Giron’Legarda, Reese Mardis and Alexandria Bowman will compete in the final championship round of The College Options Foundation’s 2010 Air Force JROTC Academic Bowl in Washington at Bolling Air Force Base, April 23-26. Regents science fair results
The winners of the Regents School of Oxford science fair will advance to the District Science Fair at Ole Miss on March 23 for the Upper School and March 24 for the Lower School.
