Talks continue on Jackson-Highway 6 interchange project
City leaders continued to hammer out details with state officials for the proposed Highway 6-Jackson Avenue interchange. Local leaders made a decision las month to scrap an expensive and complex plan that had been debated for 12 years in favor of a scaled-back plan. (June 16, 2010, Page 2)
No tax hike needed to fund Oxford School District budget
Oxford residents will not be hit with a tax increase to fund city schools. At a public hearing Monday on the proposed budget for the next school year, the board discussed the possibility of what sort of revenue the district could generate if a 4 percent tax hike was approved.
