  • Neil Hix McKenzie — 84, died Tuesday at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home of Oxford.

    • William T. “Bill” Hobdy Jr. — 80, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at his home in Ridgeland. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of arrangements.
    • Nuell Jones — 61, died Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
    • Sarah Joyce Parker — 52, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at her brother’s home in Coffeeville. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church in Coffeeville. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of local arrangements.
    • William Howard Riley — 81, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services were held Sunday at Antioch United Methodist Church. Burial followed at the church cemetery. Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel was in charge of the arrangements.
    • Brandon Keith Woodard — 23, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 in North Dakota. Services will be held at 2 this afternoon in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford, with Bro. Kevin Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories located at the funeral home.

            • James Cal Mayo — 77, died on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, following a private family burial service.
            • Mabel Arthur Southerland — 94, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Graceville, Fla. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Williams Funeral Home of Graceville is in charge of the arrangements.
