Jackets top Chargers 6-5 at home
The momentum gained by the Oxford Chargers with two impressive wins over the weekend came to an abrupt halt Tuesday at Edwin Moak Field. Oxford failed to score with the bases loaded three times in the first game of its best-of-three MHSAA Class 5A playoff series with Starkville and the end result was a 6-5 setback. Oxford teams win Region 1-5A titles
Region 1-5A track titles were awarded to both the Oxford Chargers and Lady Chargers Monday night at Bobby Holcomb Field. Chargers move up 5A series with Starkville
There won’t be an extra few days to bask in a strong finish to the regular season for the Oxford Chargers. Instead of opening their MHSAA Class 5A playoffs against Starkville on Thursday, the best-of-three series between the two has been moved up to tonight at Edwin Moak Field at 6.
