      LCSD OKs school calendar

        Regents holds flag retiring ceremony

        Regents School of Oxford held a ceremony that taught students about the proper care and retirement of the American flag Friday. The flag is in honor of community leader Joe Sallis who passed away from cancer in 2001. (February 3, 2014, Page 1)

          Dance company to host workshops, perform this spring

            State lawmakers are pushing for consolidation of several low-performing school districts in Mississippi. Water Valley and Coffeeville are included in the proposal of mergers. (January 30, 2014, Page 1)

              Bill has no effect on OSD teachers’ pay

              Oxford School District teachers’ pay will not be effected by a later start date for students in August. Teachers will start a week before students.

                BES online pre-registration a success

                    Oxford Park Commission offers free activity day

                    The OPC is now offering a free activity day for children 1 to 5 on Friday’s from 10 a.m. to noon in the beginner level gymnastics room. Parents must have a photo ID from the Oxford Activity Center. (January 24, 2014, Page 1A)
