County aims to avoid a grave error

The Lafayette County Planning Commission halted further development on a site located in Lafayette Springs due to graves found on the west side of the road. The owner of the land wishes to move the graves and human remains. He has taken the situation to chancery court for approval. (March 3, 2014, Page 1)

          UM students discuss defiling of statue

          Students gathered in front of the Student Union yesterday to voice their feelings about the defiling of the James Meredith Statue. A meeting with university officials and the student body is set for today at 3:30 in Nutt Auditorium. (February 26, 2014, Page 1)

                  UM frat kicks out 3 students

                  The three white students suspected of defiling the James Meredith statue last week have been kicked out of the UM fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon. The FBI is now the lead investigator on the crime. (February 24, 2014, Page 1)

                    Sigma Nu to host Otter 5K charity run

                    The Sigma Nu fraternity at the University of Mississippi will host a 5K on Wednesday to benefit its member Carson Otter. Otter was involved in a injury last year while in Texas for a UM football game. The race will benefit Otter’s expensive medical bills. (February 24, 2014, Page 14)
