Rebels reach sholarship limit amid summer workouts

With just one senior on last season’s roster and five signees reporting to campus this summer, the Ole Miss men’s basketball team had some work to do to get in line with the NCAA-mandated 13-man scholarship limit for next season.

    Rebels’ Gatlin signs with Astros

    John Gatlin hasn’t pitched in a game since he was in junior college. But that’s exactly what the Houston Astros want the Ole Miss senior to do.
    Gatlin signed a free agent contract with the Astros on Monday as a pitcher. He will report to the Astros’ rookie team in the Gulf Coast League in Florida later this week. (June 24, 2014, Page 8)

              Ole Miss advances in CWS with 6-4 victory over TCU

              OMAHA, Neb. — Ole Miss is one of the last four teams playing college baseball.
              The Rebels stayed alive at the College World Series with a 6-4 victory over TCU Thursday night at TD Ameritrade Park. The win moved Ole Miss into the finals of its half of the bracket for another matchup with Virginia tonight at 7. (June 20, 2014, Page 6A)

                Rebels’ bats come alive in win

                OMAHA, Neb. — Ole Miss’ offense returned to its normal self Thursday night.
                The Rebels pounded out 11 hits, four of them going for extra bases, in their 6-4 win over TCU that bought them another day at the College World Series. The final tally was five more than Ole Miss had in its first two tournament games combined. (June 20, 2014, Page 6A)

                    Ole Miss looking for offense to come around against TCU
