DA files response to Mize complaint

Circuit Court Judge John A. Gregory has set a date for a probable cause hearing in the case against Oxford Police Assistant Chief Joey East by Oxford electrician Bubba Mize and the District Attorney’s Office filed a response to Mize’s motion to dismiss. (October 18, 2011, Page 2)

    Game day weekend keeps police busy

        Grand jury indicts Mize for malicious mischief

        After being indicted on a charge of felony malicious mischief, Bubba Mize filed a motion with the Circuit Court alleging the District Attorney’s Office violated a nonprosecution agreement after he filed a complaint against an Oxford Police Department official in August. (October 14, 2011, Page 1A)

              Ribbon cut at Centerfire plant

              Gov. Haley Barbour attended Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Winchester Centerfire plant building at the Lafayette County Industrial Park. The new 500,000 square-foot building is almost complete. About 1,000 new jobs are expected over the next five years. (October 13, 2011, Page 1)

                    No charges filed in death of cyclist
