College Hill fire rating drops 2 points

Residents living in a five-mile radius of the Lafayette County Volunteer Fire Department’s College Hill station should see a decrease in the price of their homeowners insurance now that the Mississippi State Rating Bureau has reduced the area’s fire rating from 10 to 8. (July 7, 2011, Page 1)

    Loggers banned on CR 432

    The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 Tuesday to allow the county road manager to route logging trucks down County Road 477 to avoid driving on CR 432 due to concerns over the weight of the trucks crossing the two bridges along the road. (July 6, 2011, Page 1)

              Saturday is last day to register for primary
