    LHS grad, 19, killed in wreck

    Demetrius Owens, 19, of Lafayette County was killed Friday morning when the car he was a passenger in overturned, throwing him out of the vehicle. Funeral arrangements are incomplete with Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford. (more…) (May 27, 2011)

        Community begins to rebuild

        The storms on April 27 — one month ago today — destroyed 18 homes and damaged hundreds of other homes and businesses around the county.
