                East to remain sheriff of Lafayette County

                Sheriff F.D. “Buddy” East was re-elected for another term Tuesday night. East has been sheriff for almost 40 years.                     Highway name change would honor fallen biker

                    The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors and local House Rep. Tommy Reynolds are asking the State Legislature to allow a 4.5 mile portion of Old Sardis Road to be renamed the Kevser Ermin Memorial Highway, named after Ermin who was killed last month while riding her bike along that road. (November 8, 2011, Page 1)
