Ole Miss defensive coordinator Dave Wommack met with the media this week to talk about the Rebels’ preparation for Arkansas’ offense led by Austin Allen, who’s taken over the reins of the Razorbacks’ offense from his brother, Brandon, at quarterback.
Wommack joined other Ole Miss coaches and players this week who’ve said they can’t tell much difference between Austin and Brandon, who quarterbacked Arkansas the last three seasons. Austin is keeping the Razorbacks’ offensive evolution going, throwing for 272 yards a game for the Southeastern Conference’s third-ranked passing offense, though Wommack expects Arkansas to go to its running game more often Saturday (6 p.m., ESPN) to try to keep Ole Miss’ high-scoring offense off the field.
Watch Wommack talk about the challenges of going up against Arkansas’ offense, the linebacker situation and more in the following video.
