OSD seeks funds for turf projects

Oxford High’s football field is in line to have artificial turf installed later this year, Charger coach Johnny Hill said. The new surface will cost approximately $650,000 and will replace the field’s natural grass. The turf is part of a $1.3 million project to improve facilities around the Oxford School District. The rest of the money will pay for new turf in the baseball team’s indoor hitting facility and the commons area at Bramlett Elementary School, as well as surfacing a practice field at the new high school, Hill said. (May 14, 2014, Page 1)
