Ole Miss football fans wishing to see what future Rebels look like need to check out the seventh annual Under Armour All-American Game today on ESPN. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
The contest pits some of the nation’s top-ranked players against each other. Current Ole Miss players such as Robert Nkemdiche, Laquon Treadwell, Channing Ward and Tony Conner have recently played in the game. The two teams have been practicing all week in Orlando, Fla. The game is being played in St. Petersburg at Tropicana Field.
Ole Miss currently has three verbal pledges in the game — Jackson Callaway offensive guard Rod Taylor, Memphis University School kicker Gary Wunderlich and Covington, La defensive tackle Garrald McDowell — and could garner another verbal pledge during the contest.
Jamal Adams, the nation’s second ranked safety prospect from Lewisville, Texas., is scheduled to pick his school during the game. Ole Miss is a finalist, along with LSU and Florida. Recruiting analysts believe that Adams will make his choice for LSU, but it would be worth watching to see exactly where Adams goes.
Another target Ole Miss fans should keep their eye on is athlete Bo Scarbrough. The IMG Academy product, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 230 pounds, is currently committed to Alabama but has been pursued heavily by the Ole Miss coaching staff. He has already visited Ole Miss and was trying to whittle down schools to figure out where he would go on his final official visit. Scarbrough is being recruited to places such as Florida as a running back but analysts also see him making an impact as a linebacker.
