BLOG — It didn’t take Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson long to make an impact after his two-game suspension to start Southeastern Conference play.
The 6-foot-2 senior won this week’s SEC Player of the Week for helping lead the Rebels to a home win over LSU and a road win over South Carolina. Henderson averaged 22 points, 3.5 assists, two steals and two rebounds in the two victories that improved the Rebels to 3-1 in the SEC heading to play at Vanderbilt Wednesday.
Henderson scored 25 points and had a career-high seven assists in the Rebels’ 88-74 overtime win over LSU and then scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half of Saturday’s narrow 75-74 win over South Carolina. Ole Miss trailed by 10 points at the half.
