One arrested in armed robbery of delivery driver

The Oxford Police Department made an arrest Friday in connection with a University Arbors robbery of a Coop Deville delivery driver Tuesday night.
Three men allegedly beat up the male driver after putting in a false order for wings. They gave an address at University Arbors and demanded the driver hand over his money and other belongings at gun point before hitting and kicking the driver multiple times. The driver was treated at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi for injuries and released.
Major James Owens reported Friday evening that investigators arrested a 17-year-old male and more arrests are expected. Owens did not release the name of the teen, but he added that the investigation is ongoing and more arrests pending. The teen who was arrested will be charged as an adult, Owens said.
