Ole Miss’ defensive line of the future continued to take shape Friday when Fadol Brown decided Oxford would be his new home. The former Florida International defensive end chose the Rebels over offers from several other Southeastern Conference schools such as Mississippi State, LSU and Tennessee.
The 6-foot-5 1/2, 271-pound Brown confirmed his decision to play for the Rebels through a text message late Friday morning.
With the three words “Ole Miss baby,” Brown confirmed his love for Oxford and coach Hugh Freeze in the process. It also ended three weeks of heavy courtship from a bevy of schools, including offers from Miami, his second choice, and Texas.
