‘12 finish could set tone for upcoming season

HOOVER, Ala. — If there is one thing Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen wants to do better in 2013 compared to 2012, it’s see his Bulldogs finish stronger.

MSU got off to a 7-0 record to start Mullen’s fourth year in Starkville, but the Bulldogs were not good down the stretch, losing four of their final five regular season games and falling 34-20 to Northwestern in the Gator Bowl.

Mullen felt the way the team ended the year definitely set the tone for the way his team practiced in the spring and worked out in the offseason.
