BLOG — Ole Miss’ lead with Akeem Judd turned into a verbal pledge for the standout junior college running back. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound Georgia Military College sophomore gave the Rebels a fifth pledge in 48 hours when he picked the Rebels over Tennessee and Auburn this morning.
Judd, who visited Oxford June 1, posted a picture of himself on his Twitter account wearing an red Ole Miss shirt and demonstrating the Landshark all at the same time. He added that he wanted the right fit for him and that he looked at the good and bad of all the programs before making his choice.
Judd, who also had offers from Louisville, Cincinnati and Marshall, rushed 71 times for 463 yards and five touchdowns last year at GMC, a perennial program that plays junior college programs from all over the nation during the regular season.
Judd is scheduled to graduate in December and he has three seasons to play two for the Rebels. (June 9, 2013)
