BLOG — Ole Miss added dual-threat standout Kendrick Doss to its 2014 verbal commitment list Friday afternoon. The 6-foot-2, 218-pound Doss was in Tupelo with his Florence, Ala., teammates to take part in the Mississippi Invitational 7-on-7 Tournament at Ballard Park when he made his choice public.
Doss is rated as the 11th-best dual-threat quarterback in the nation by Rivals.com and the 13th-best prospect overall in the state of Alabama by Rivals for the 2014 signing class. Doss cited several reasons why he chose Ole Miss but his main one revolved the relationships he has built with head coach Hugh Freeze and quarterbacks coach Dan Werner. Doss said he picked Ole Miss over offers from Auburn and Tennessee.
Below is a video interview with Doss prior to the start of Friday’s pool play at the tournament.
