    1. Mary Edna Shaw Rose says:

I was just wondering the name of the Shaw Family that this house belonged to. I was a Shaw from Grenada County. Most of my family were from Calhoun, Webster and Grenada counties. Dr. W. D. McCain, pass president of Mississippi Southern published a book on our Shaw family and I find it interesting to look up Shaw’s I do not know to see if they are in our book. Dr. McCain’s grandmother was a Shaw.
I love to see the old homes restored. My father’s home is being restored and it was built in 1893 by my grandfather.
