OHS tennis remains undefeated

The Oxford tennis team continued its winning ways late last week with shutout victories over Tupelo Christian on Thursday and Saltillo on Friday.

Thursday, Quinn Elliott won 6-0, 6-1 in boys singles and Sarah Nash won 6-0, 6-0 in girls singles.

Baxter Elliott and Robert Nance won 6-2, 6-1 in No. 1 boys doubles and Cole Atkins and Callan Shinall took the No. 2 boys doubles point 6-0, 6-1.

Olivia Williams and Lillian Williams teamed up to win 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 girls doubles, while Ellie DeVoe and Lilli Alford took the No. 2 girls doubles match with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

In mixed doubles against Tupelo Christian, McClellan Davis and Gus Morgan won 6-1, 6-0.

Against Salitllo it was much of the same for Oxford (10-0 overall).

Will Swindoll took the boys singles point with a 6-0, 6-0 victory, while Grace Anne Jones took the girls singles point with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

Sam Peeler and Max Mauney won the No. 1 boys doubles point with a 6-2, 6-1 victory, while Liam Cooper and Atkins took the No. 2 boys doubles match 6-3, 6-2.

At No. 1 girls doubles, Kara Rose and Embrey Inman won 6-2, 6-3; Alford and Emily Morgan won the no. 2 girls doubles match 6-1, 2-6 (10-6).

In mixed doubles, Arlis Williams and Lillian Williams won 6-0, 6-1.
