Lafayette clobbers Clarksdale

There was no funny business at W.V. Brewer Field on April Fools’ Day.

After two less than desirable results against division foe Lewisburg last week, the Lafayette baseball team looked to swing the pendulum back in its favor against Clarksdale.

The Commodores did just that Monday, routing the Wildcats 16-1 in three innings.

Getting the win was nice, but Lafayette (12-5 overall) hopes the all-around way it defeated Clarksdale (6-12) will carry over to tonight’s game at Senatobia.
