Former ‘Dore named to National Honor Society

Former Lafayette High tennis standout Mallory Davis was named to the National Honor Society for two-year college students.

Davis is currently playing No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles for coach Wanda McPhail at Meridian Community College. She is no a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Nu Upsilon chapter. All students selected must have at least a 3.5 grade point average. Davis also recently won the George Wilkinson Award given annually by the Mississippi Tennis Association. Davis’ major at MCC is Speech Pathology. She has also spent time volunteering when not playing for MCC such as working with Special Olympics. (April 2, 2013, Page 9)
