Chargers advance to Tri-Lakes title game

The Oxford Middle School baseball team got its playoffs started in convincing fashion Monday with a 5-1 victory over Marshall Academy at Edwin Moak Field.

With the win, Oxford (11-2-2 overall) advances to play Grenada on Wednesday at 5 p.m. The winner will be crowned the Tri-Lakes Conference champion.

OMS coach Daniel Parrish was proud of the way his kids not only played the game but have continually showed the baseball smarts needed to be successful.
