Bianco wins 500th game as OM coach

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.  —  The No. 21 Ole Miss Rebels put on their rally caps on Sunday and then executed to perfection to defeat the Tennessee Volunteers 4-3 Sunday. The victory earned the Rebels their second straight sweep in Southeastern Conference play and improved them to 29-12 overall and 10-8 in SEC play, the first time they are over .500 since the opening weekend.

Sunday’s win was also Mike Bianco’s 500th as Ole Miss’ head coach and 600th overall.

Trailing by two runs heading into the ninth, the Rebels put together the rally with clutch performances from the heart of the batting order and some key at bats off the bench.
