Baughman displeased with effort in win

Monday’s game at Edwin Moak Field didn’t mean much but it meant everything — if that makes sense.

After already locking up the Division 2-5A crown, the Oxford Chargers have a bye week to start the upcoming MHSAA Class 5A playoffs.

Likewise, the visiting Kossuth Aggies secured a first-round bye in the Class 3A playoffs.

As such, the two teams opted to make better use of their off week by making up a previously rained out game.

While the 4-3 win marked Chris Baughman’s first 20-win season at the helm of the Charger program, he was anything but happy following Monday’s game.
