Ole Miss men’s basketball coach Andy Kennedy got encouraging news on the injury front Thursday afternoon. Less than 24 hours after leaving the Texas A&M game assisted by two trainers, freshman forward Anthony Perez’s feared leg injury turned out to be a Grade 1 sprain to his medial collateral ligament in his knee.
Kennedy listed Perez, who scored five points in six minutes of action against the Aggies, as day-to-day but it’s unlikely he will play Saturday afternoon against Mississippi State.
