It was just one of those nights for the Lafayette High baseball team, a night where no matter what the Commodores did, 2-4A rival Lewisburg was able to counter.
Lafayette suffered its first setback in division play with a 9-2 loss to Lewisburg Tuesday night at W.V. Brewer Field. Lewisburg (12-3 overall, 3-0 Region 2-4A) scored four runs in the top of the first inning off starter Austin Arrington and then three more in the second to really put the game in its favor.
Lafayette coach Patrick Robey said every pitch Arrington threw was hit.
