No. 10 Kentucky pounds OM on Senior Night

Ole Miss proved to be the most gracious of hosts prior to Thursday’s opening tip by presenting Kentucky seniors A’Dia Mathies and Brittany Henderson with flowers on Senior Night.

The No. 10 Wildcats didn’t return the gesture once the game started.

Aided by Mathies’ game-high 20 points, UK spoiled the Lady Rebels’ festivities by cruising to a 90-65 victory at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum.

Almost from the opening tip, Kentucky (24-4 overall, 12-3 Southeastern Conference) dominated the game.

UK mauled the Lady Rebels (9-19, 2-13) on the boards and turned a 57-38 advantage into 21 second-chance points.

Kentucky’s season-high 57 rebounds are also the most Ole Miss has allowed this season.
