The Lafayette softball team rallied late at Senatobia but was unable to hold off the Lady Warriors on the road, losing 7-6 in eight innings.
After trailing 5-1, the Lady ‘Dores scored four runs in the top of the seventh to force extra innings but was out-scored in the decisive frame 2-1.
Avery McCullough struck out four in the final 5.1 innings on the mound.
Lafayette (8-7, 1-1 2-4A) returns to action Monday against Lewisburg at 7 p.m. (March 22, 2013, Page 8A)
