The Lafayette tennis team narrowly edged out Lewisburg Thursday 4-3.
Hunter Knight and Garrett Reed claimed the No. 1 boys doubles point with a 6-2, 6-1 victory, while Brett Bowen and Nathan Hollis cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory in No. 2 boys doubles.
Abbey Pate and Brittany Mann swept the No. 2 girls doubles point 6-0, 6-0, while Jacob Roberts and Abby Arrington also blanked their opponent to win 6-0, 6-0.
Tanner Odom lost boys singles 6-0, 6-0 and Sadie Wilson also lost girls singles 6-0, 6-0. Cara Anne Sallis and Lindsey Lott lost the No. 1 girls doubles 6-0, 6-3.
In extra matches, Rachel Reed and Maddie Welch won 6-0, 6-1 and Nick Hollis teamed with Harrison Atkinson to win 8-5.
