LHS-OHS playing for special purpose

A softball game with a special purpose, more than just bragging rights, is what the Lafayette Lady Commodores and Oxford Lady Chargers will be engaged with Friday night at LHS. For the second time in as many seasons, LHS is hosting the annual Strike Out for the Cure game.

Players find a sponsor to donate a dollar amount for each strikeout both the Lady Commodores and Lady Chargers have on the evening. Both teams will be wearing pink and fans are encouraged to wear pink as well. LHS softball coach Katie Moore said the LHS baseball team, which also hosts Oxford, will be wearing pink.
