KANSAS CITY, Mo. — All week long the focus heading into today’s second round NCAA Tournament matchup between the Ole Miss Rebels and the Wisconsin Badgers has revolved around style of play. The 23-11 Badgers, who are seeded fifth in the West Region, have been labeled as defensive and boring.
Ole Miss, 26-8 on the year and seeded 12th, is seen as an offensive team that relies on Marshall Henderson to make dramatic, tough shots to win games.
If you listen to Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy, today’s matchup is all about defense and how well his team plays on that side of the court. If the Rebels are going to upset the Big Ten Badgers, they will have to play, well, better than they have all year on defense to accomplish the feat and advance to Sunday at the Sprint Center.
