Chargers rally past Horn Lake

Oxford’s first game in its annual spring break tournament wasn’t the cleanest game and it wasn’t always easy for the fans to watch but in the end, the Chargers overcame a 5-1 deficit to post a 6-5 win over Horn Lake Wednesday morning at Edwin Moak Field.

The Chargers rallied past the Eagles despite committing five errors in the game. William Elliott, who has been back in the lineup for less than a week, broke the 5-5 tie in the seventh with a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Tyler Hallam. Wednesday’s game was just the second at home for the Chargers, who lost 8-2 to Christian Brothers later in the night.

OHS coach Chris Baughman was pleased with how his team fought back against Horn Lake (1-7) but not as pleased with certain aspects on the field.
