Ole Miss, and the job coach Hugh Freeze and his staff did this past year, was the buzz of the college football world Wednesday. Just 14 months after being hired to turn the Rebels around from a 2-10 team, Freeze and his staff punctuated their first full signing class with a consensus Top 10 finish.
Ole Miss finished ranked No. 5 on ESPN’s list, No. 6 by 24/7 Sports, No. 7 by Rivals.com and No. 8 by Scout.com. Freeze ended up with 28 new players to add to the existing roster for the 2013 season. Six of those players, such as Plano, Texas tight end Christian Morgan, Memphis running back Mark Dodson and junior college defensive tackle Lavon Hooks, are already enrolled in school and will go through spring drills.
