Moore excited what ‘13 could hold for Lafayette

Senior leadership, speed and versatility are just three attributes that make Lafayette softball coach Katie Moore feel good about her team and its chances during the 2013 season.

The Lady Commodores begin their year this Saturday in the Oxford Classic Tournament but Moore saw a lot of positives this past weekend in the two jamboree games at Southaven. LHS defeated Southaven 9-3 and Independence 12-1 in two four inning games. Moore said she loved that her team rallied back from a 3-0 deficit against Southaven by scoring all nine runs in the fourth inning and she was pleased with how her two pitchers, Brooke Whitten and Avery McCullough, performed.
