Henderson leads rout of Auburn

On a day when Andy Kennedy became the winningest coach in Ole Miss men’s basketball history, it was the son of a coach that made the biggest adjustment in regards to the Rebels and their recent misfortunes on the hardwood.

The decision to not start Marshall Henderson against the Auburn Tigers on Saturday afternoon didn’t revolve around a discipline issue and it wasn’t exclusively up to Kennedy. Henderson, who led all scorers with 28 points in the one-sided 88-55 win over the Tigers at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum, thought it was in the best interest of the team for him not to start and to instead come off the bench.
