Grenada defeated Lafayette 12-1 and 9-0 to open the middle school baseball season.
Lafayette coach Glenn Williams said Luke Gossett pitched well early in the first game. Corey Taylor drove in the Commodores’ lone run with a single. Lafayette returns to action Thursday at home against Marshall Academy. The doubleheader will start at 5 p.m. (February 27, 2013, Page 7)
