WATER VALLEY — The varsity basketball teams at Water Valley had an up and down evening against Division 2-3A foe Aberdeen on Friday at the WVHS gym.
After the Lady Blue Devils out-ran AHS to a 56-34 victory, the visiting Bulldogs turned around and did the same thing to Water Valley, claiming a 75-51 win.
In the girls showdown, the Lady Blue Devils were able to use their athleticism to get out and run against Aberdeen (2-14 overall, 0-3 Division 2-3A).
While fouls slowed the game down, Water Valley was still able to push the tempo to hold a 35-20 advantage going into halftime.
