BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Ole Miss’ dramatic turnaround on the gridiron in Hugh Freeze’s first season was punctuated with an impressive, record-setting win in the annual BBVA Compass Bowl Saturday. Led by quarterback Bo Wallace, this year’s Fred Sington MVP winner, on offense and linebacker Mike Marry on defense, the Rebels defeated Pittsburgh 38-17 in front of a new bowl record crowd of 59,135 at Legion Field.
