The Rebels decided not to be kind hosts to No. 10 Missouri in the Tigers’ first trip on the road in the Southeastern Conference as they pummeled them on defense in a 64-49 win that often didn’t feel that close. A raucous crowd of 9,173 not only got to celebrate the Rebels’ 13th victory overall on the year, but also the first 2-0 start in SEC play for Kennedy and the best start to a season since the 2007-08 team finished 13-1.
Kennedy said Monday that the first week of the season would be a challenge with a trip to Tennessee in the opener and then the matchup with the Tigers, the highest ranked team in the SEC. (January 14, 2013, Page 6)
