Rebels have to focus at Vanderbilt

Communication and finding a way to adapt to a different environment will be two of the biggest keys for the Ole Miss Rebels tonight in their matchup at Vanderbilt.

The Rebels, who are coming off an impressive 64-49 win over then No. 17 Missouri, put their 2-0 mark in the Southeastern Conference on the line against the 0-2 Commodores in the unfriendly confines of Memorial Gym tonight at 8. While the Commodores are always tough at home, the unique court setup at Vanderbilt — teams are lined up behind the goals and below the floor — makes things even tougher for players who have never experienced it. As Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy was quick to point out during Monday’s SEC teleconference, more than half of his team will be playing at Vanderbilt for the first time. (January 15, 2013, Page 6)
