No. 23 Rebels rally to defeat Volunteers

BLOG — Marshall Mania struck again for the No. 23 Ole Miss Rebels. Down by seven to the Tennessee Volunteers at the half and unable to buy a bucket, the Rebels rode their junior shooting guard to yet another win Thursday night.Marshall Henderson’s cult status only grew larger with Ole Miss fans as he finished with a game-high 28 points in the Rebels’ 62-56 win over the Volunteers. Henderson, who had just four points in first half, was electric the second half as he rallied the Rebels from a 25-18 deficit by hitting six of his 11 3-point attempts and knocking down seven of his 12 shots from the floor.

Thursday’s win was significant in that it matched the Rebels best start in Southeastern Conference play since the 1936-37 season at 5-0 and also earned them a season sweep of the Volunteers. who fell to 9-8 and 1-4 in the SEC. Up next for the Rebels is a road game at Auburn Saturday.
