Ole Miss’ offense and the speedy targets for quarterback Bo Wallace to throw to continued to grow as the nation’s top wide receiver, Laquon Treadwell, picked the Rebels on Thursday evening.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Treadwell made his choice public at a ceremony held at his high school, Crete-Monee, which is located approximately 30 miles outside of Chicago. This year’s Chicago Tribune Player of the Year chose the Rebels over Oklahoma State and Oklahoma due to the connection he felt with assistant coaches Wesley McGriff and Grant Heard, his two direct recruiters, and coach Hugh Freeze.
