Lady Chargers blast Bruce before New Hope

Oxford enters division play at New Hope with a 50-point victory under its belt. The Lady Chargers defeated the Bruce Lady Trojans 80-30 thanks to great intensity on the defensive side of the ball. The team finished with 21 assists, a stat coach Shayne Linzy wass also pleased with. Amber Sisk and Tamara Wadlington each scored 14 points for the Lady Chargers, who improved to 14-3. Alexus Malone had 11 points and three blocks as well. Tipoff with New Hope Friday is set for 6 p.m. In a junior varsity game Tuesday, the Lady Chargers won 31-27. Aliesha Dukes-Thompson finished with nine points to lead the way. Jerrica Hickinbottom and Emma Schultz each chipped in seven points. Madison McCay and Thompson were credited with great defensive games. (January 9, 2013, Page 6)
