Henderson’s second half keys Rebels

Ole Miss was so cold from the floor in the first half of Thursday night’s game with Tennessee at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum that Marshall Henderson almost couldn’t pull his team out of the funk. The operative word in that statement is almost After missing all four of his shots in the first half and only scoring four points, Henderson was sensational in the second for the Rebels, who rallied to defeat the Volunteers 62-56 in front of a third straight sellout crowd and a national TV audience watching via ESPN2.

There wasn’t a shot Henderson couldn’t hit in the second half of the rematch between the two teams and the 24 points he scored on a 7-for-12 display not only keyed the win, it placed Henderson on a new level of hero status with Ole Miss fans.
